Anybody fishing out of one of these that can provide me some feedback from personal experience. I mainly musky fish these days, and I'm looking to register in some of the IMTT events in 2014. I'm running a 14 ft tracker guide v now. It was my first boat and I love it but its time to upgrade. Those txw's seem very nice and aside from a small live well have everything I want in a boat and is a good size for my Chevy Colorado to tow. Price is important to me as well and for the money it looks like a great boat. Any downfalls you guys have noticed or anything a potential buyer would want to know about before signing papers? Thanks guys.

I don't have one but have been in one they are a light boat and rock a lot, layouts decent. I have a alumacraft deep v dominator and love it. I would recommend Alumacraft, Or Lund deep v. If your set on a bass boat set up I would go with a glass boat.

Not set on a bass boat. Just liked the 8' 6" rod locker and the big casting decks as well as a few other things. Also seemed like it would be easy to launch on some of the shallow poorly maintained launches around my cottage. Idk I'll talk to some of the guys at the Chicago show and check some V's out. Got all winter to look and compare

I have a 2007 175 txw. I bought it used, wasnt necessarily looking for a bass boat, but it was too good of a deal to pass up with the shape it was in. I fish the smaller lakes in the western part of illinois and upgraded to an 80lb trolling motor. It's a decent layout and really nice for casting and figure 8's. Not a ton of cargo room for large tackle boxes and it took me a few trips to get used to a good layout for tackle and net placement.

I've had it on some bigger water and it handled it ok, not great. It does rock a bit and isn't the most stable.

I'm pleased with the boat and it suits my fishing style and local lakes. If I was nearer to bigger water, I'd consider upgrading to a glass or deep v.

I have a 2002 185tx 60hp 4stk m it does 34 mph loaded with two aboard , I bought it used in 2010 from a friend who fished it since new in Missouri , Minnesota and Canada as well as AZ . It is a great little boat I use it from my home in Phoenix to fish crappie bass and stripers all over Az , Utah & New Mexico . I do not use it on Lake Powell which is similar to Mille Lacs Lake in weather and wind. For me it allows me to reach the water when drought has made ramps unusable its light weight allows me to traverse open desert to launch and it tows if need be with a Toyota Camry . A friend of mine sold his alumacraft and bought a tracker 16 same boat as the 175 just smaller he uses it in the lake's around Brainerd Minnesota and to fish the upper Mississippi River . In short they are durable easy to fish out of, but not as good for larger water. A far as unstable, hogwash I fish out of the front using 4 poles spider rigged in all kinds of water no problem granted a deep v has more freeboard. My buddies Alumicraft rocked easier than his tracker . It is a good first or second or fiftieth boat for the purpose I defined . For general fishing with no limitations in Minnesota I use my 2060 , 250 xs . I could never pull it thru the desert or over a sandbar like I can the 185 but for Mille lacs and LOW much better. So If you are realistic about your expectations for the use of the 175 it should be a great boat for you .
