I have fished here many times, but never as late as October. This year I will be there from 10-12 to 10-16. Am I going to experience any problems navigating the chain?
I want to launch on clear, stay on fawn lake and want to get down to alder, over to rest, as well as island..... Heard some reference to lower lake levels as they start drawing down water levels in early October, will I have any issues?

Thanks,

Correct, they will start the last week of September. Normal navigation mainways are fine. Just keep in mind all of the area where you find stumps and wood could be danger zones. You should have no problem getting to rest or alder. Getting into fawn and clear is tricky late November but you should be fine. I would motor sloe through the buoys on stone lake if you are heading to fawn. At max low level they drop 44 inches but that usual isn't reached until the end of October.

Yes, there is a significant drawdown (40" or so) starting after colorama, which is sept 21 weekend. Unlikely you'll be able to get to/from Clear, in my experience, but some of the other lakes would be ok.

Heard there was talk this spring about not making the drawdown as severe as it usually is, but don't know if anything was ever decided.
