I am headed up on a trip to Lake Vermillion (minnesota) to chase the "skis" from Sept 21-28th. I have fished the lake the last 5 years but mainly focused on smallmouth. WELL, the BIG FISH bug has caught me and this trip I am planning to chase Muskie more than bass so I am looking for your help on identifying some locations and baits that are a the best place to focus.
I have started to buy some rods and tackle but want to make sure I am buying the right things and focus my time in the right places for this trip to make it as epic as possible...

I am staying in Daisy Bay and will have a 115hp boat so can run on the lake where needed.

THANK YOU very much for your input and assistance. If you prefer not to post here please do email me at [email protected]

THANK YOU!

needs:
9ft xh rod
good reel 100LBS braid
Musky Net
Pliers
Mouth Spreaders
Big plastic baits
Baits with Blades
Luck!

Go get them! Id say get a guide for a day to show you what is up. There is a lot structure to fish up there and the fish are not always on that structure. Going out for a day means you will get the pattern and what type of stuff to fish for the rest of the week.

Good luck!
