| I did a quick search and only found 1 reference to the material and it was in regards to pricing.
I was looking at the "Model-Pro" & "Fabri-Cast 50". I was thinking Fabri-cast because of the lower viscosity creating fewer air bubbles?
Does anybody use this? I am looking for any input in regards to durability and quality, I have only used alumilite products so far, so a comparison to them would be great. I would imagine it is about the same but I don't want to switch if its too brittle or cracks easily.

| don't know what you are really looking for exactly,but try smooth-on .com,they also have some products you may be interested in.i used some of their impact resisent plastic,works great and easy.lol. |

| Bottom line is that I am looking for a larger quantity than what I can get at Hobby Lobby in regards to RTV Silicone and casting resin for crank baits and jerk baits. My first batch I used the small alumilite quantities that Hobby Lobby stocked but they only carry limited quantities and its only worthwhile using the 40% off coupons (Hobby Lobby is an hour from my house).
So in short, I would rather order online directly from a smaller company and have the materials on my doorstep when I get home from work. |

| yeah go to smooth-on com.they have everything from rtv silicone to different type of resins that will sink or they will float.they have several to choose from that will fit your needs.trail size quanity to 55 gallon drums.a great company.lol! james. |

| I think I'll like it, I got a gallon for what it would cost me for 56 ounces of alumilite.
I have 2 large containers of micro balloons already which are awesome.
Does anyone know of a "home method" of degassing the silicone for the mold? The one mold I have made so far had a good amount of bubbles that reflect in the lures.

Thanks, Trevor The last silicone mold I made I placed it on my son's air hockey table while it cured & the air bubbles rose to the top and I had no issues with the bubbles affecting the lure. |

Location: Money, PA | My mold makers are made from machined aluminum, so when I pour a new mold, I will tap the outside vigorously top to bottom for about 10 minutes to get those bubbles moving to the top and away from the master body....It seems to work well for me. |

| I will have to try tapping, the first one I believe I just mixed, poured, and demolished it the next day.
On a side note, I ordered the resin on Thursday and got it this morning- I was very impressed!!! |
