On the advice of people on here I got a Knipex hook cutters (model 71 22 200). They are very nice, can tell just by the feel. I wanted to protect my new tool so I got some advice from old forum posts and added a lanyard.

I did mine by first drilling a small hole in the handle. I couldn't do this at home so I went to a nearby metal shop and they drilled it for me. The guy there cursed at it and broke a bit. He said it was some bad@ss metal to do what it did.

After that I looped some paracord through there and added a paracord cobra coil around the loop of cord. The acts as a very fast and reliable adjustable tie for the lanyard.

Overall it worked great. Here is a video of the finished product.

That turned out nice, I did the same last week only I ordered a lanyard off of amazon but same concept. I drilled a small hole, then changed to a larger bit and the first bit stopped and had to grab a new one to finish.
