| Does any one know how much it costs to stock a yearling muskie? How about a fingerling? |

|
| Just one? |

|
| I believe they go for around $10 |

| Our club raises fingerlings in a pond in spring and releases them in october and in the end it runs us about $5.00 each and at that point they are usually 10"-14".This can vary some year to year though. Handy |

| Thanks guys. Yes I was wondering what the cost was per muskie. I am also wondering if it is possible to tag the fish when they are this young or how old they have to be in oder to tag them. Anyone know? |

| Hi,
Will a fin clip work? If you dump some fish in a lake and just want to monitor growth that is probably the best way to do it. I would think a tag would be bad for the bigger fish that will end up eating the litte guys.

| You can clip the left or right anal fin...but you have to clip it close. Does not hurt the fish at all and you will just see a stump there when they are bigger. Right now there are some low fortys fish swimming around Pewaukee lake with left anal fins gone. Those were stocked in 1995 or 1996 I believe. |
