Jerk baits have been an important part of a Muskie fisherman's arsenal for a long time. I was wondering what other guys are using. My favourite is 9" Sledge, any contrasting colours seem to work great.
What are your faves.

I like Hellbound! Color seem not important but I use basic like white for lot of shad in lake and firettiger for dark water. Pick one would be walleye or perch color. My friend caught lot of musky on reef hawg. One of his lure beat up so badly and around 20 musky on this lure.

Suicks are my favorite. Black with red lips and orange with black are my favorite colors.

Suick with black and perch thriller colors. Weighted 9" or 10" are great. Co-#1 choice for me are Phantom lures. Phantoms are incredible. Hand made and the quality of a Phantom is extremely good.

Reef Hawgs, many of mine do not have much paint left on them. I have allot of suicks but not as many good ones as I'd like for the number at hand. I have many fav Hawgs and they are all the colors it seems.

I raise so many fish on my little white-belly perch Bobbie that I end up grounding it to the tackle box in disgust. Brown/yellow Suick with black homemade jailbird belly stripes is a close second. I just am not a good finisher with jerkbaits. Maybe my recent purchases of Phantoms will change my luck.

---- 9" weighted Suick in the "Bronze Perch" color pattern ,,,, split ring on the nose ,,,, I replace the trebles with 3/0 Mustad round-bend short-shank hooks (less tangled hooks) --- I work it with soft 12" pulls -------- goodluck -------- jimjimjim

For a dive & rise: Suick H.I For a glider: 8" Hellhound. Water clarity, weather & clouds, and forage decide colors.
