personally i would think eliminating the foot pedal would be one of the reason's for putting it on a power drive. when i had a power drive i went through at least one pedal a season. at fifty to sixty buks a pop for a new pedal it adds up. not to mention it its a big hassle not having a working pedal.

I have a power drive foot pedal that must be 20 years old and going strong. It replaced one that lasted about 6 months. Now it is on its 3rd trolling motor so I have 2 unused ones that came on the last 2 motors. Every winter I take it apart and clean the board and contacts. When I settle on a new boat I will be getting a Terova with Ipilot but don't think I could give up having a pedal.

QUESTION...Is the link of any value if where you fish isn't covered by Lakemaster chips?

I believe the link will follow any track you have saved on your GPS plotter.
Also it will do everything an I-Pilot does.
