Subject: Crestliner 1850 question

I am currently toying with the idea of getting out of my 1750 and into a 1850. I have a question concerning performance with different motors on the 1850. Anyone have any experience with the 1850 with a 135 Optimax on it, and how about a 150 Opti. Having problems finding any performance specs and don't want to assume anything.

Norm, give me a buzz at work tomorow, 715-236-2628, Crestliner gave us speed data on a wide variety of motors, think I can help you out.

My last boat was an 1850 w/ 150 Opti, she would do 52 empty (19 pitch SS prop), 2 people, gas, full load of musky gear, 46.5 GPS turning just under 5500 rpm's..

I know the speed data for the Yamaha 115 4-stroke is 42.3 MPH, we have sold a bunch of em with this motor. It's still plenty of oomph for not being maxed out.

We have an 1850 with a 125merc 2-stroke. Two guys and gear is about 43mph. Nice motor only drawback is it won't go between 8-15mph because of the 2-4cylinders.

I have/had a 1850 with a Johnson 150 hp. Top speed empty was 54 mph (GPS) and fully loaded 48 MPH.

1850 Muskie Edition, F115 Yamaha 4-stroke, top end empty 42, loaded 37.
5900 RPMs, 19 pitch stock aluminum prop. Great motor!
