Subject: Rod repair help

Broke my rod this weekend, hoping for an easy fix or cheap one, the reel seat has broke lose and my reel spins around the rod. Don't know how to glue it back on or maybe bolt through to keep it from spinning around or will that shatter the rod? Thanks for the help!

Easiest way I have found to fix that type of problem is to carefully drill a few holes through the reel seat right were the reel foot will go. Go slowly and be careful not to drill into the blank. Mix up some epoxy, 30 min probably best and inject it into the holes with a dropper of some sort. spin the seat around a couple of times and make sure the epoxy is spread about and then let it set up. you may want to rotate the rod periodically for a few minutes a epoxy starts to set. Just make sure the seat is in line with the guides when placed in its final position. Let it sit for a day before putting your reel back on.
