I am for the first time going with some friends to Tomahawk Resort near Sioux Narrows in early September. Only one member of our group has been here before, but he has been some 10+ times. While he has a quite few spots, I would prefer not crowding his favorite fishing holes. We will be multi-species fishing (unless the muskie action proves to be too hot to ignore).

Is there anyone who has fished this area and would be willing to give up some pointers on where to start. I am not looking for absolute specifics like throw this lure at this spot at this speed (I like to figure out some of it on my own). It just seems like a lot of water with endless possibilities. Any help in finding general areas or patterns to start with would be great. We will be looking for pike/walleye/muskie/bass.

Absolutely. I'd mark a map for you if you like. Tremendous fishing, even for big largemouth.

I would like that very much. I don't have any paper maps of the area yet, I have only acquired a navionics chip. do you know somewhere I could buy one to mail to you to mark up? Thanks!

There are series of LOTW maps I believe are generated by the Canadian MNR that covers the lake. I know Thorne Bros has the maps I am describing, you would need to call them and ask for the map that covers Sioux Narrows and they can send to you. They are about $22 or so but are good maps.

Steve while we're on the subject, I will be fishing out of the northwest angle in Sept and was wondering how well you know that area and if you could mark a map for me. Thanks

I will have been there a couple times by then, but won't be well versed.

Happy to help with what we learned, though.

Steve
Where will you be staying and when will you be at the Angle? We are at the Angle for the next few months so maybe we can get together.
