Say you are on a spot that you know from previous experience holds muskies or you know from time of day, conditions, structure etc. should hold muskies. If you are not getting any action what goes through your mind? Do you think they are just not at that location at that time, you might not have the right presentation to trigger them, or the ones that are there are just not eating. Any tricks or thoughts to how you distinguish? Or, does it just not matter to you - just move on to try to find a spot that is holding active muskies?

On any given day, it is normal to not see fish on even one's best spots. The fish could be there and not active, might be holding in deep water or other structure nearby, or simply aren't using that structure at that time of the year. I usually move on to try other spots, but may come back later to check again. Muskies do move and sometimes its just a matter of where the fish are at that time. Some spots are best at certain times of the year or at certain times of the day. It takes time on the water to figure that out.

Good luck
