Subject: Cincinnati (help)

Hey guys,

So I'm moving to Cincinnati from Madison, WI and I'm worried I'll never see a musky again. I've tried googling "musky fishing in ohio/northern kentucky" and haven't had much luck. I figured some of you might know if there's any good fishing within a few hours of Cinci. I know of cave run, but it's not somewhere I could go every weekend.

thanks,
brales

East Fork just out of town has been stocked for about 7 or 8 years now and you also have Ceasers Creek about 30 to 60 min. from you depending on where in town you move .

Alum Creek in Columbus, Clear Fork, hour North of Alum. To the East you have Salt Fork, Peidmont, and Leesville, all with big fish potiental. The fish here are not as long on average, but they get fat with all the shad forage. St Clair and the Detroit River not that far away. PM me if you want to fish once you get to Ohio.

Brookville res. in Indiana it's a sleeper they get all excess muskies in the stocking program. Co worker fishes there just about daily and he's bass guy but he has many pics of some good size fish. He says he gets bit off a lot to. If you make it there he says the dam end is good for skis.

Jeez, where's the love?

Nobody mentioned Green River.

I'm actually north of Cincinnati but can drive Cave Run, Green River & Clear Fork in about 3 hours, East Fork & Brookville in about an hour & Caesar Creek in 40 minutes.

Never fished Alum, but I'll guess 2.5 hours.

Have always fished Cave , Green & Clear Fork on a day trip basis: No motel. When young & strong, I occasionally did "long" weekend trips to Vilas.

Questions, etc.?

Don't eat the Skyline Chili, it will speak to you later. Do try goetta, you will see it at your local diners as a side with breakfast. Try it instead of Bacon or Sausage with your eggs. Outstanding! Hell, they even have a festival for it. Reds games are a blast, and if you can get to a Buckeye game, do it.

x2 on the Cave! I live to work in Louisville and I live to play at the Cave. Cincy and Louisville are exactly the same distance to the cave and if your non stop its its 2hrs straight interstate.
