So my grandfather lives on wakeumup bay... we always fish there, everyone says tower end, tower end, tower end! We have little luck maybe a follow or two here and there. Mainly at the kitchen sink and the pros fish in front of my grandfathers... for humor sake a seen a couple NICE fish side by side when I was younger got the muskie bug going... we named them Oscar and Gertrud so if you catch them out um back!!! Help me out and I'll help you. Blue swimming plate form with an owl... marine and american flag in yard.

It's been real tough for me, on the east side, if that makes you feel better.

Yeah thanks... we thought about fishing out of Frasier bay instead.... but then less easy to visit family. I also fish during the day.... but other lakes... no problem seeing some during the day. Vermilion is frustrating. Maybe need to find a guide... but seems like we are fishing the right places just not seeing much on the cook end.

I know that area,..... Go back and forth on that shore line ...You'll find fish..... Dude, There are so MANY spots in that general area ....Pick the reefs and bays apart....I mean, PICK them APART ! Bucktails, topwater, Jerkbaits, Rubber, Glide baits.
You will raise fish... ...Keep at it and hit the same spots 2-3 times a day.... the fish are there.. You just have to work for them.. Steve at Spring Bay Will put you on fish,...He just got a client a 54" 5 days ago..

Your welcome,
Jerome

There's plenty of fish on the west end of the lake. Fish harder and smarter and you will find them. No need to go to the Tower end.

I don't know for sure, but heard low to mid 60's on the East end the other day. Haven't seen any current reports. Did hear there are some mayflies starting to hatch on the east end too. No reports for the west end. I will know for sure next Thursday.

Where are the Muskie usually at on V this time of year? With water in the mid 60s would it be a waste of time fishing reefs and other rock or do most guys stick to bays and emerging weeds? I won't be up until mid July but its fun to imagine lol

The weeds are starting to emerge, but they are still pretty thin on the east end. We picked about 6 spots on Friday that typically have weeds, and they are sparse but showing life. Warm Shorelines and Rocks were the structures we moved fish on.
