Posts: 682 Location: Sycamore, IL | Fished a bit south of there this weekend and this was my experience: Lake levels were up higher than the last couple of years. Muskie were shut down, bass were slow, walleye were aggressive. Mosquitos were terrible and ticks were pretty bad as well. FYI- We used some of that Yard Guard stuff on our campsite and boat and it seemed to help.

Posts: 1906 Location: Oconto Falls, WI | I thought the mosquitos were better this pastw eekend the the weekends prior. Stil bad, but getting better. Lakes levels are good on the lakes I went to. Fish were active, but for small windows. The last two weekends the best time I have seen has been between 9 and 10 am. Water temps were high 60's, but I am sure this week will push them in the low 70's which is unfortunate. Unfortunate as the high 60's is a great time to be throwing WTD topwaters of which the fish have been liking the most.

Posts: 176 Location: Tomahawk, WI | Was up there last night no biters except for the mosquitos. I have never seen them this bad here, almost as bad as Canada except our Wisconsin strain are smaller, but meaner.

Posts: 229 Location: Plover, WI | Just got back from a week up near Winchester. Water temps were mid 70's dark or clear water. Moved a few, but no takers. Mosquitos were BAD. You could here the humming while standing at the shoreline. Long pants, sweatshirt, bug spray... nothing seemed to help. The biting flies were the other culprit. I am officially chewed up. Cant wait to get back up. Mike
