Posts: 389 Location: Presque Isle Wisconsin | Like most flowages the key to the Gile is structural elements near the river channel.Baits with strong vibrational characteristics get noticed better as the water is stained a dark red. Choose the highway C boat landing in windy conditions or the town of Gile Landing under normal conditions.Numerous dangerous rock bars are present and not marked on any map so proceed with extreme caution!! Two invasive species are present.Spiny water fleas and chinese snails so cleaning your boat thoroughly using bleach ect is a must before putting it in to another body of water.Best is to keep your boat out of the water for at least three days before putting it back into another lake. The Gile is a low density muskie resource;however big fish are present

I second howie.... You might spend a little money...but save a TON of time locating the places, plus might save you money....in the way of a lower unit!!! Cory

Posts: 20212 Location: oswego, il | the water fluctuates on this body of water. Normal water levels, be very careful. When it is low, those hazards are out of the water and visible. Water levels are high and will be for awhile so they are submerged. Good smallmouth fishing, some weeds but scarce and everything else as stated above. One of the most beautiful bodies of water to be on. Hurley is a great place to have some fun and get in trouble.
