Thinking about getting a new NaCl and pairing it up with a new TI full grip 9' XH.

I've got that exact setup. Haven't thrown anything yet cuz my season doesn't open for another 20 days.

Mostly glide baits, bucktails, a few topwater and dawgs. Gonna be a multi purpose. Nothing in the pounder category.

What do you intend to throw with this setup? What are your expectations?

Tails, dawgs and some cranks.

Multi use

I'm sure it will do great.

Any other low profile reel setups I should consider before biting the bullet? I fish hard and just wanna make sure this will hold up to a little abuse.

I have that same set-up, just with a telescopic split grip. I use it for everything in my box. I don't throw pounders, but medussas and mag double dawgs are no problem. Double 10's are a cake walk. But it will still cast lighter baits like, suicks and top waters. I love my Nacl. Best reel I've ever used. You wont be disappointed. I bought my reel on here, $250 shipped. Rod I ordered straight from TI.

What do you all think about a 300d on the same rod for double 8's, topwater, and shallow raiders?

Call Jay at Smokey's on the Bay. Give him a call at 920 436 0600. They have some great prices on those reels there right now and Jay is "reel" good at shipping fast too. He will set you up!

James

PS-Thanks for buying my rod
