Subject: lake st clair please help. please

i came to michigan to live with my grandpa for the summer up until snow and it would mean the world to him and i if we caught a musky over 45 inches. we have only boated 2 muskie before and i have educated myself on properly handling the fish and bought catch and SAFELY release equipment. i would love more than anything in the world to be able to afford a guide but i am not in the position to spend money like that. we have a boat in hideaway harbor next to beacon cove marina right next to the mouth of the detroit river. we plan on casting for our catch not trolling. i know most fisherman dont always want to share fishing spots and much advice on lures but if some of you would help me with some information i would be the happiest grandson in the world. if anyone can give me a sense of direction to head from hideaway harbor it would be sooo appreciated.

So are you here already? I ask because Hideaway Harbor and Beacon Cove are a long way away from the DR and I just wanna make sure we're all on the same page.

What kind of boat do you have to fish from? I'm 100% casting so shoot me a PM if you like and maybe I can point you in the right direction.

Good luck finding a too guide that isn't completely booked already on st Clair. I'm sure spencer is totally booked or only has a day or two open. Mike Hulbert is also a great choice for st Clair but he may be booked too.

There's plenty of musky to be caught out from the marina all season long. Weeds can be an issue though, especially with east winds blowing crap in.

BTW, your marina is a good 15+ miles away from the Detroit River.
