Location: Iowa | Looking for some lodging suggestions for Mille Lacs. I'd like something close to the lake so the boat can stay in the water. I'm kind of leaning towards Chapman's, but not sure I want to be on the SE end of the lake. Anyone that has stayed there, please tell me about your experience. I've only fished the lake once before, and that with a guide all night. Just looking for a new destination this year and any advice on lodging and fishing would be appreciated. To me, there is not a place anywhere that is worth $200+ per night, so I know that takes some of them out of the equation. |

| Not sure what side of the lake you are wanting to fish but if you are planning on the north end, I would look into the Red Door. They have cabins and also a motel as an option at a reasonable rate. |

Location: Iowa | That's just it, I'm not sure where I'm going to concentrate yet. Just starting to get this together, and am afraid everything will be booked up if I wait too long to make reservations. |

Location: plant earth | stayed at chapmans many times would stay there in a second. pretty good docks decent lodging and reasonable on the price. tim is a pretty knowledgable guy he can put you on fish and he and tina are great people. usually quite a few other fisherman staying there. great atmosphere. fish house for cleaning your catch. also their own private launch. lots of good spots in that area. |

Location: new richmond, wi. & isle, mn | Never heard anything but good things about Chapman's . A friend of mine stays there a few times a year. It's great to have a plan or an area you want to concentrate on. But the lake doesn't always cooperate. You'll have to be prepared to be mobile. He fishes all over the lake. Just prefers to use Chapman's as his base camp. |

Location: Otsego, MN | Hunter point on the east side is good. I don't think you have to worry about being booked up this year. The walleye slot has changed and I bet there will be lots of resorts struggling to get guests this year. |

Location: Iowa | Pitch'n, I'm looking at the end of July. I haven't decided where yet, as I see a lot of openings still available. I would rather not have to run from one end of the lake to the other on a daily basis. Is the southern part of the lake the right place that time of year, or should I be looking to the north? |

Location: Minnesota | I have never stayed on the lake.but I fish it offen.when I fish the lake it is all a bought the weather .the lake can get very ruff there are times when its so bad I cant even fish where I planed so I just drive to the other side of the lake and fish there |
