Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I have my VIO POV HD mounted on a cap brim using the supplied mount and a couple small tie straps. Tried the chest mount and didn't like it. I have another VIO POV HD that has 5 mounts scattered around the boat interior and runs off a 12 volt battery using a POV power adapter. The hat camera I have set on a narrower FOV than the boat camera. We have a net cam set up as well, and an underwater action cam (Aqua-Vu Micro+DVR) and another VIO on a new extension pole accessory VIO just released.
Going to be a good season in the X170. Loaded her up with a Bird side imaging unit and a Bird DI on the bow, all new HD camera gear, and a Wild River stereo speaker tackle bag for tunes from the iPhone. |

Location: Kansas City BBQ Capitol of the world | Last week I took the plastic mount off the head strap for the VIO POV and drilled two holes in the visor of a Suick ball cap. With 2 small nuts and bolts I secured the mount to the visor through the provided holes and it worked great. The best part is I just coil the cable in the hat and with the glass secured on the bill it all fits in the VIO case. I just unzip the case, put the ball cap on and i'm good to go.
