Posts: 1041 | Ah, finally spring is in the air! And even though mother nature won't release her hold on the northwoods, musky season will be open here in Southern Wisconsin before we know it! And with the new season comes another Pewaukee Classic Musky Tournament, on Saturday, May 11, 2013. For those that do not know, this is the annual fundraising event for the Milwaukee Chapter of Muskies Inc. It is a very fun tournament to fish. Stakes aren't overly high as the entry fee is $55 per person, or $25 for just the banquet. That's right, fishing and a banquet! Banquet is up in Sussex at the Sussex Bowl. They do a great job and the food is outstanding! At the banquet, the winners will be announced and there will be tables full of prizes to be won. I believe the winner of the 50-50 will also be pulled then. So, if you want to get out and wet a line, please consider joining us for the Pewaukee Classic. The Classic is on Pewaukee Lake, but you can also fish Oconomowoc and Okauchee. Please remember that this is the annual fundraiser event for the Chapter. All money collected goes to the chapter for the stocking of muskies, feeding of muskies and for the speakers that come to the club. Please follow the link for tournament rules, times and registration. http://www.milwaukeemuskiesinc.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Pewau...

Posts: 1220 | The folks at St Croix were nice enough to let me have a few more rods for stuff like this again this year, so I will be supplying a new Legend Tournament rod again this year for a raffle, either a Big Nasty, Big Dawg or Sling Blade. I hope it helps make some cash for a really great cause. This is truly one of the nicest events every year and one the "Up North" crowd can fish instead of ice-skating!

Posts: 50 | I will be fishing Pewaukee this weekend, but sadly will have to miss the event. Muskies Inc. is just a great organization, and all who can should attend this event. Let's be honest Pewaukee gets hammered worse than any other lake in the state, and the more stocking the better. We are responsible for the future of this great sport, and through our actions that future will be shaped. Even if you don't live in the Milwaukee area join your local chapter of Muskies Inc. and make musky fishing even better. Edited by enice 4/29/2013 4:09 PM

Posts: 1041 | Marty, That is very, very kind of you. I'm sure a Big Nasty or any rod will bring in a lot of extra raffle tickets. I know I'll be stuffing that bin with tickets! Thank you again for your support of Muskies Inc. FYI, I believe if you go to our new and improved website, you will see that we will soon need help in getting our 200 muskies out the pond and into Pewaukee Lake. http://www.milwaukeemuskiesinc.com/category/amron-pond/
