Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | With all the record and near record rains this April, are there any "no wake rulings" for your lake? Pewaukee Lake has had that limitation a couple of times over the last few years.

Posts: 2269 Location: SE, WI. | Steve, Heard the Madison chain had a no wake this week, BUT had a buddy go out on Pewaukee this weekend and he went to test a prop. and had no problems opening it up, SO, there is NO/ no-wake posted as of now!!! But water temp s were only 39... Looks like a crazy opener. JD

Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | Atleast we have open water! DH Buc lives on Crescent Lake near Rhinelander, WI. He feels it will be mid-May until ice out. The Tuesday Night League in Oneida County may involve ice hockey in lieu of fishing! Edited by Steve Van Lieshout 4/22/2013 8:28 PM

Posts: 1220 | I drive a little bigger boat than many others and, when in a tournament, like to go to my spots with the hammer all the way down. But...at times like this, when lake owners are worried about their propery...these are the days when a lifetime of resentment is built against tournament fisherman, or others who just like to go fast. It's just not fair (no-wake restriction or not) to make these people miserable with bad behaviour and then let them stew forever about how to limit access to what they believe to be THEIR LAKE! Our wake can damage their property. It's clear that the water is high, whether access is limited by enforcement or not. I think these are times (just like moving over for a guy on a bike) when you can show that we are a really fine bunch of people who are willing to go out of our way to prove it.

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Pewaukee Lake is not extremely high. Its about perfect for this time of the year. We are looking at a little higher water levels this year but don't see a "slow no wake" rule being set for the opener. Weather is going to warm up this week and no rain is in the forcast. Bring on the opener!!!!!

Posts: 1036 | Pewee was really down last fall, so this spring rain and the heavy snow has basically filled her back up. She is a touch high right now, but not terribly so. The ice up north is keeping me from my walleyes this opener, so I'll be down on Pewee seeing what me and the wife can scratch up. Hopefully Jim and Mike leave a few for the rest of us....

Posts: 504 Location: Ludington, MI | Hmm. I don't remember ever seeing emergency no-wake rules in Michigan. They close launches, but I don't remember any no-wake rulings.

Location: SE Wisconsin | I've had some of my best days on Pewaukee when the "No Wake" signs are up - just saying. The opener can't come soon enough; just picked up my boat from storage over this past weekend and I'm all ready to rock. See you boys out there, Mike, Marty, Geoff, Steve and Jim.
