What water temperature do you usually break out the topwater baits? I had some real good luck with them in the summer but wouldn't mind trying the Spring topwater bite?

As ealry as low 50's in the spring/early summer. I typically don't see temps lower than that by the time I start fishing anyway. WTD are best for me early.

I've had a lot of action on Choppers, Weagles, and Pacemakers from the opener on. The biggest fish I've ever lost was on a Chopper on the opener with a late spring. The nice thing is you can fish ultra shallow without snagging up.
