Has anyone ever swqitched from evinrude xd30 to xd 50? Any issues?

Are you going to bring it in to reprogram it? You might as well, since you need less oil when running xd50. Most places will do it for free, I believe.

I switched from XD50 to XD100 without a reprogram, the only issue was it ran even better. If I understand the different oils, xd30 is basically regular 2 cycle oil and xd50 is a semi-synthetic blend.

We switched from regular oil to XD100 in our carbed motors and they just run smoother and smoke less.
