Location: Wisconsin | I'm new to thia lure building, so I have a few questions and hoping you guys can help. Do you buy your lips or make them? If you make them, from what and how do you cut it? How do you cut the lure to insert the lip? Thanks |

| I'm new at making crankbaits myself, but most I learned, I learned here......so do a search about these topics because they have all been discussed, most on numerous occasions.
Go to tackleunderground.....I think that's the one, they have pages on making crankbaits.
I buy lips from Moores and Rollie and Helen's, and my best friend who I've never met makes me some too, and I am eternally great full to him for his help.
You can make your own out of Lexan.......correct me if I'm wrong.
You can cut the lip slot with a table saw with a 1/8" width, or you can use a bandsaw. I've even cut them with my router.
Do a search, you'll learn much.

| Try tackleunderground, they have lots. You can even find stuff on YouTube. Guys will answer, be patient. Try searching just the last month and only search for "lips". This ain't Google, you have to keep the subject short and only search in the basement forum. |
