how big is it? Is it like the calcutta D in size?

It is the size of a 200 Daiwa. It would be small for 80 lb line, but could definitely handle 50 and maybe 65.

It is a tank... but little line capacity. Have to use 65 # braid. I have mine on a LT lipstick. And use it for baits up to about 4 ounces. It sits lower than Calcutta d and feels smaller. My favorite reel, just wish it had more capacity.

Tacklewarehouse is blowin these out for $299. Normally a $450 reel! I have one and as the others have said, capacity is lacking, but it is incredible with 50 or 65lb braid and smaller baits. I have the 5.1:1 and it is a horse. Love it.
