| Anyone have any information about why they are on sale and for how long? Shimano has been very tight about pricing including at the shows. They were originally seen by the public at large at the Chicago show in 2012. That date and all shows following I have yet to see a price reduction (that is sold directly from a Shimano retailer). They may be sold for less from a private citizen but that is certainly the same for all products including rods and other gear. If anyone was at the MN show and spoke with Reed's about this please message me or post a reply. |

Location: Downers Grove, IL | I can't speak to the Tranx, but a couple years back I called up to Reed's interested in purchasing a Sling Blade and a new 400TE. When I asked, they offered a signficant discount if I bought both, and they shipped to me within a couple of days. I told a friend, and he called up and got the same deal. So I would say, call - it doesn't cost anything to ask... |
