I like the visual effect of variegated metal foil siding, but the films are so thin and fragile that trying to put them over mesh to produce a scale effect often results in torn film and open spaces. You can shoot paint through mesh but if the paint is opaque it obscures much of the foil and if transparent the scales can be hard to see. On this Super Cisco I took an open form white mesh, sprayed it black, and glued it onto the variegated foil. The scales are fairly well delineated without suppressing the visual appearance of the foil siding.

I think that's what James calls them. Got the blank earlier this year from Tackle Industries.
