I found one of these at a really nice price. Trying to decide whether to pick it up. I'm a shorter guy so handle length is not an issue. Has anyone tried throwing pounders with these?

I have a Slingblade. Is this basically a Slingblade not made in the U.S.?

I have many rods with the same blank. That XH Mojo has the same blank as the Premier XH and it will throw pounders all day long. Get the rod and forget about the rest.

Thank you, sir. Saw your name on a search of Mojo and almost PMed you. This works, too, I guess.

stiffer than a slingblade and not as well balanced. I have a mojo xh and it is a really decent rod, and definitely an awesome price. it'll handle pounders well.
Not as nice or comfortable as the LT series, but will make heck of a rod for backup too.

The 8'6" XH has no problem throwing pounders. I used this rod last fall to do just that and everything worked well.

See...I had it, and didn't really like it for pounders...maybe it's just me. Everyone else seems to like it.
