Location: Ludington, MI | Anyone tried these? Looks like they might be a little light in the drag department, but they go from 5.1 up to over 7 in gear ratio and they're offered left-handed in three different gearings. |

| thats a bass reel designed for crank bait fishing. it could be used on a flipping stick for smaller baits but not beefy enough for the bigger lures. |

Location: Northern New Jersey | the "super duty" may fair a little better for the rigors of musky fishing. i wouldnt be throwing 10's with it, but things like jerkbaits, traps, and single bladed spinners i believe the reel would be great for. lots of guys in the bass world are using this reel for throwing "alabama rigs", which can weigh upwards of 3 ounces. hope this helps |

Location: Ludington, MI | Thank you for the feedback. Again, looking for anyone who has had a Lew's BB1 in their hands, put line on it, cast a lure, and retrieved it. Anyone who has reeled in a fish on it would be especially appreciated. |

Location: Wisconsin | Bought a 6.4:1 this winter. But won't get a chance to use it for awhile yet. I bought it for bass fishing however. Lots of good reviews on them in the bass community. I'd think it would be fine for small to mid sizes musky baits. List 14lbs of drag. I've caught a couple muskies with the old style BB1 throwing Depthraiders in the past. Tom |
