| I'm still getting out on the water in NJ but that probably doesn't help you much. Coves are frozen but the main lake is clear. I trolled past 2 ice-fishermen yesterday.

| Plenty of open water here on the WI river by Stevens Point, I'd be out Muskie fishing if it were legal. |

We have open water here in central Illinois and no closed season.
I am leaving work at noon today and hopefully i'll be on the water draggin' baits by 1:00.

| Cave Run,KY has good open water.My friend Marc Arenna caught & released a 50" and a 46" trolling off of Zippo Beach over the past weekend.Crash Mullins called me to break the news,"you all should have come down".I listened to all the poor reports and stayed home.Marc drove 10 hours and had a great weekend using Niagara River trolling methods.

| fishkopp/Mike, I launch from a private ramp with the owners's permission. There aren't any public or even pay ramps with access due to ice. I had to shovel the snow off before I could use it, see "You might be a muskie nut if..." post. I was out again today, calm all day with fog in AM and sun in PM, no luck though, just one hit/miss. Last fish for 2002 was a 36 incher on 12/21. Looking forward to 2003!!!!

| Down here in Kentucky, good old Cave Run Lake is open. the fishing might not be doing great right now but at least there is water to wet your lure. |

| Evergreen Lake in Central Il. is open. Went there this afternoon Dec. 31., did alittle casting and trolling, no luck but great to go out casting. God bless and have a good and safe New Year, Al[:p] |

| Lake Marie and parts of Kingston mill pond have open water on it. I saw that today when we ice fished around it.[;)] [:p]
You will have to stand on the ice and cast at least 50 yards to be safe.[;)] |

| Mike, I sent an email to you but didn't hear back. I don't know if you got it but I've thought about joining. Tough to make the meetings though with the KDC trustee meeting the same day (4th Tuesday). Let me know the requirements, do I have to attend the meetings? |
