Posts: 300 | Just looking for a little help. My family has decided to rent a cabin on Lost Land Lake by Hayward this year. We are going in mid-August, so most of the summer patterns will hopefully be working. I know that the lake has darker water and that it attached to Teal Lake. I know that both of these are part of the "quiet lakes". We have never fished the lake or the area, so any help will be appreciated.

Posts: 667 Location: Wisconsin | Have fished the two lakes many times. Good water for catching fish, but not going to get a trophy there. Stained water so choose colors for that. Had best action on bars in LL drifting over cabbbage. Good food at Lost Land Lake Lodge!

both lakes can be very good. On lost land You can catch fish just about anywhere you cast, So work areas pretty slow and methodically. We have Caught a few large fish even though it is More of a numbers lake.

Posts: 300 | Just wondering if there are any color combinations that seem to work best? Black/orange, Black/Chart, etc. I know the waters are pretty dark, but I know sometimes different lakes have colors that just simply work better. Is there also a size preference? Dbl 10's, DBL 8's, Musky Killers, etc.
