| I need to pick up a good set up for my wife. She won't be throwing any double 10's or pounders. More for bukctails and smaller cranks. needs to be lighter weight as well. Any ideas? Thanks |

I have a Shimano curado 300dsv, definitely an awesome lightweight and probably the most comfortable reel I've have ever used, should be a great choice for a lady. they dont make the dsv anymore, but i'm sure the 300e is great too. it definitely wouldn't be of use for 10's, but you can pull 8's in really well, as well as just about everything else someone could comfortably throw.
For rod, that I cant say as much about, but something that is lightweight and maybe 7'6" is something easy and comfortable to cast all day, perhaps a st. croix mojo musky or something would be a good rod for a lady.
hope that helps

| Thanks...I was thinking the Curado or a Revo Toro 50 and a St. Croix downsizer or top and tail....In order for her to fish all day, I need a light weight combo. |

Location: sneaking out to get on the water ;-) | The top n tail with a revo toro HS is my favorite set up. Nice light and will handle baits you mentiond and up to reg dawgs. Awesome set up! |
