| Interesting product, but considering I don't trust snaps at all and have seen them fail twice now I doubt I'll be switching. I prefer attaching the bait directly with a split ring. |

| the 2 seconds to change a lure really is the selling point for me, also you know how hard it can be to get the "hook" end of a crosslok through small or confined eyelets. and then theres the numb fingers scenario too. i wanted to use split rings but my never owning split ring pliers and impatience of switching lures prevailed. im just trying to preach these things cuz of how much they have helped me.(stay calm)

Location: Eau Claire,WI | Thanks but no thanks! I will either use a split ring or a String Ease. When you pay $20 + for a sinlge lure it is hard to switch to something that has not been used or recommended by many musky fishermen. |

| Jus saying that I tested these, used and abused them. I think they are very beneficial to heavy duty fishing thats why im pushing these, not cuz i know nuthing about em. |

No offense, but just buy some leaders. Good attempt and can't blame a guy for trying but those "homemade" snaps look very suspect. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The snap fishgasem pictured is pretty much bulletproof. The wire diameter determines the fail strength, and if the snap is under so much pressure it collapses, it closes tight. Try it.
I have been using these on and off for a couple years. |

| Hey meat! Great post, man. I am a fan of the fast links also... I think if they were brought out by musky mayhem or innovations they would be all the rage! Most musky guys just haven't discovered them yet.
As is, they are mostly a saltwater thing, as you know... Guys all along east and west coast prefer this type of clip over a snap, and striper fishermen are just as crazy as musky guys about their expensive custom plugs.
I've caught hundreds of (good sized) stripers on these things and a good number of muskies too... no issues. Although I do use staylok snaps also a good bit. HAven't had an issue with those either, just sometimes its tough to get your lure or jig connect to a snap, as meat mentioned in post. These are a great alternative. |
