Has anybody used these baits? What can you tell me about them (positive or negative)

Used 'em, liked 'em.
They don't run real deep, but are easy to use. Good walk the dog action. I think that the small ones glide a little better.
I know a few fish that liked them too.

Both sizes are good. Had probobly 30 follows and none boated on the 6" and 2 boated and 0 follows on the 8"...pretty weird

They are good baits. I like the 6" best. For a bigger glider, there are others I prefer other gliders over the bigger one.

Dave,

I have a 6" Sucker and 7" (8"?) Perch. Like the smaller one better. I'll loan you mine in the spring to try out if you'd like. Give me a call.

On a side note.....have you noticed any difference in the lure since Odysey started making it? I was at one shop and looked at them side by side, the newer ones were fatter than the old style. Anybody else see the difference?

It's one of the few "must haves" that are out there. I like the big one best, but they all catch fish.

These were/are made by Todd Cleveland who lives in the Mpls./St.Paul area. I have not talked with Todd since last spring but I thought that he was still suppose to be making the lures and that the odysey thing was more for marketing and also that Todd and Brian (Viper lures) were going to be painting some of the Odysey stuff. ...Again just my understanding...

I hope they haven't changed the bait...too much wood will make for harder hook sets and more suseptability for the fish to be able to throw the lure.

The small and larger versions are great baits, sort of a "hatchet" or "chopping" type action to the larger ones. Both models catch fish.....lot's of em.

I have used these baits successfully for a few years. Often if I can't get them to hit an Undertaker I will switch to a Phantom and the different action is sometimes the key to "hooking up"....

Best,

Mark
