Location: Almost Heaven | The newer ones i had read have a little more weight in the nose area. Have you ever heard or read of that? I would say it gives the newer ones a little more dip when rigged on the shallow setting. |

Location: Canada | Never heard that? I guess it could be true ..... I fish all my Believers with split rings in both line ties, always hook my staylok from underneath so it sits upright whether it's on on the shallow, deep or snapped into both. My boat partner had a modified Believer that has more and larger ball bearings added to it - it'll run deeper. |

Location: Almost Heaven | I saw where some guys put a 1/2oz. sinker on the bottom center hook eye and clanked it through the water. The newer Believers have one snap eylet smaller than the older ones and mine are the older ones with the snap eylets both the same size. |

Location: Eagan, MN | 1/4 or 3/8 bell sinker on the front hook hanger does the job. It kind of settles down the wild ones that don't want to run right. I too have heard the newer ones have more weight, and I've had old ones (from the 90's) that didn't need extra weight. |

| The old ones are the best ones....
The only reason to add weight to them is if they roll at or before the speed you want to run them. The "wild" ones are the ones that catch fish, so long as they do not roll....you DO NOT want to tame the action of those.
