Hi All,

First of all, I didn't get much of a chance to fish last season because we were building a new cabin. One of the baits I tried in the fall was Naze baits livid fish. I didn't see much action with the bait but then again... I didn't fish much.

I was able to work the bait the short time I fished it and it seems like an incredibly versatile bait. I'm interested enough that I'm going to look at picking up a variety of colors and give them a try. Anyone have any experience and could recommend a couple of color combinations? Any suggestions would be welcome.

I've seen and caught fish on both black/orange and sunburst, but those are the only colors I have.

Badgerpat1--I appreciate your interest in our lures and I hope to see you at the fishing shows this spring. From a sales perspective, our most popular color patterns are Sunburst, Walleye and Shiner. Natural colors seem to be most popular, and I can add to that, that I have had more action on natural colored lures. Oddly, I have had really good luck with Chartreuse/Dots in clear water during the fall--might be a fluke though--not sure. Overall, Walleye has been my personal best on the clear(er) water I fish. Hope this helps. I attached a picture of a 47" that took a Walleye Livid Fish boat-side.

Yeah, bought a (sucker colored) livid fish a year ago.......looks like a great lure in the water. No musky's have eaten yet but it's one of those lures you know is just going to get friggin' smashed.

Black has been my favorite. I like to crank a few turns of the reel then rip em back, letting it get almost to the surface about 10' from the boat and one more Hard rip before the L turn... Works for me...

I have had the best luck on the walleye color on clear lakes. I had a great weekend last august on northern wisconsin lake landing 3 fish on it. I have also had good luck on my local lake Wissota with the chartruse with black dots and sunburst.

Wissota hu? Rod & Gun landing is just under 20 miles from home but I'd rather fish Holcombe or Old Abe. I caught a 37" last Sept & that's my only fish from Wissota. Had plenty of follows, hit & runs on the figure 8, watched other people catch fish there. I've netted a few fish for other guys, but just can't seem to put 'em in the net. Maybe I'll have to give a Livid Fish a good bath.

Yeah Dave it can be tough on Wissota but I live between the the Edge Boat landing and the rod and gun landing so its minutes for me to be on the water. I fish Holcombe also but its harder for me up there and I don't know why it is. My buddy has pulled some bigger fish out of there I just haven't yet but I will keep trying.
