| What brand/type of rod balancers are people using? The butt end of my rod has a diameter of 1 1/8". |

Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot | I've had Thorne's put weight in the butt of some of the rods that I've had them customise. It's pretty nice not having that external weight out there. I had the old rubber cap style ones and it got all of my shirts black. |

| I have BPS balances on every rod I own. Bass and walleye rods too. |

| Go to Wal Mart and buy the white rubbe bar stool caps. Melt the weight that you want to add and pour them into the caps. Use electical tape to secure them to the rod. Its an inexpensive option. |

| I pour my own into a 2x4. I took a 3/4 or 1" drill bit and made a couple holes in the 2x4 and pour right into it. The wood will smoke some but if you get them out after the lead sets up it isn't a problem. I have some of the BPS ones too and they work very well. |

Location: In the slop! | Hold the fore-grip and your balance problems will go away. Then you don't have to add more weight.

| Does anyone have rod balances on St. Croix Legend Rods? Do they fit the split grip Muskie series? |
