| The "ON SALE" bandsaw I picked up a few years ago is in the dumpster with the dog crap right now, and I say good riddance! Always hard to keep in tune, blade wandering around because the system to keep it aligned sucked!
What do you guys use? I don't make that many lures, so I can get by with a 9 or 10 inch model, but when I looked at a Delta and popped it open, it had the same inner workings as my crap collector.
I want something easy to tune, and want it to stay in tune. I want bearings and bushings and guides that actually do the job they are supposed to do.
I guess "MADE IN THE USA" would be an impossibility.
What's better? 2 or 3 wheel?

| One interesting fact I found was that in a 5 star rating system, owners of 9" saws gave them 2 stars from over 100 ratings. The 10" model got almost 250 ratings and received 4.5 stars. Guess if I bought a Craftsman, I'd get a ten inch. |

I bought a Delta a couple years back off craigslist for short money by a guy who made guitars. It has been great and I would highly recommend it.

| It seems when you go from a 9 to a ten you get a better saw. I had a Black and Decker 9", and when I opened up a 9" Delta they looked identical. Tuning the blade and wheels was #*^@ near impossible, and when I got it in tune, it didn't last long. Guess I'll be looking at the 10"ers now. Thanks guys.

Location: Oregon | Beav I bought a 14" Ridgid from Home Depot maybe 6 years ago and would NOT recommend it. The saw is still going but I have had a fair number of problems with keeping the blade running true. Have never been able to get a square cut out of it.

| I looked at the Delta again, and it is virtually the same saw that I had. I don't like the way that the guides are adjusted by simply loosening a set screw and tapping it in or out. The tires wore out in a year, but worst of all it never stayed in tune.
I think I'm going to go with the 10" Craftsman. It has 3 bearings to align the blade top and bottom instead of one bearing and 2 black things that never held the blade in line. I'm going to keep on looking, but so far the Craftsman is on top of my list.

Location: Land of the Musky | I got the $99 Ryobe and the cutting was horrible. Then my buddy got me to buy a very expensive band blade and it fixed all my issues. As he said, your band saw is just the motor (for the most part) but the cutting blade is what will make the difference and it did for my needs... |

Location: Oregon | The tires on mine get worn unevenly and then the blade is at an angle going through the guides which then causes other problems. I buy new tires but it doesn't take long before the problem starts again. Mine also adjusts with screws and they haven't been a problem, just snug them up and they stay.
