So I was on TU I saw this stuff being mentioned, it is still being tested by some builders but it looks promising. Apparently it dosnt run or sag when you brush it on and it will cure in a few minutes in the sun or under uv light. You could coat a bait 3 times and be done it in about 15 minutes or less. That would be pretty awesome, no mixing, turning or waiting for epoxy to cure overnight. http://solarez.com/productsnew/gloss.html

I've tried Solarez UV epoxy and it has both good and bad points. If you go through all the posts on TU you will find that a number of people, myself included, have had trouble getting it to set up. There are issues with sloppy shipping procedures that result in receiving leaking bottles and some shipments won't even set up outdoors with extended exposures. This suggests some quality control issues with the company. I am currently using a 160 watt self-ballasted mercury vapor terrarium light to cure having failed to get either the Solarez bulb or a blacklight to work. For small lures the 4" x 8" compartments of nail dryers appear to be working, but large muskie sized lures won't fit in those enclosures. Some people have had better results than I have and you might want to contact them.

Sounds too good to be true, but all in all....I believe all good things and quality things take patience and time. Of course it would be nice but today's society always seems to be in constant efforts to look for the easy way out or instant gratification. Personally, I'm content with the process and coating I'm using now. If something better comes along, great, but setting up in just minutes seems far fetched to me.

To good to be true, I know nothing about it at the moment but that's how there saying it works on TU. Just throwing it out there to see if anyone on here used it. I'd rather fish more than wait for the down time of epoxy, it would be convenient for me to finish more baits in less time with the same results, why make things harder for yourself just my opinion. All of the hard work and artistry is on the body and the paint so i do not see it being the easy way out out.
