By the time winter rolls around, everything is a mess - reels needing to be torn down and cleaned, reel parts to order, lures to fix, hooks to replace, line to replace, rusty tools, filthy rain gear, everything is dirty and disorganized, I'm always out of leaders or split rings or shrink wrap or something. Gilders in with surface lures in with rubber, cork that needs to be repaired...

You want a real time-passer? Try organizing your lures based on where you fish with them.

Simple solution... Spend winters in Florida. The Tarpon, Shark, Goliath Grouper, and numerous others will keep you more then satisfied.

Many great things to do in winter away from the jingle in the brain to go hunting "THE FISH".
I personaly enjoy the break an totaly love winter x 10000.
RELAX, enjoy it.
Learn to tie knots an read a map or your electronics. Learn to make yer own leaders or clean your own reels....kind of fun.
Grab a chain saw an carve something cool.
Ice fishen is fun an you don't have to cut 40 holes to have fun...just go do it.
I love to skate so...DO IT!
Read some good books or write one yerself.....kind of fun also to see what you can come up with.
All kinds of things one can do to beat down the JINGLE!!.
Hackey of all kinds, sleding, fishen, BBQ, Broomball, quiet walks in woods, movies in cold garage, view different stars at night, an of corse naked snow angels,
You could also do as we do an invent things to do with BACON!
Its fun an good to EAT what you make.
So far this winter we have made a Bra, Belt, 2' stickman, 2' snowman, 1 Mini skirt, a huge Bulldawg, 1 Wallet, pair o Socks, a cigar an pair of choppers & gloves.
Mmmmmm for some reason the socks tasted best.

If your really realy bad off you could higher a hooker to TALK DIRTY TO YA IN MUSKIE SPEAK!
DOH!!!

Its all good.

Keep on rocken!

Tommy

Find water with lake trout.Take out a nice hut,you can cook in and enjoy a glass of wine.Drop your line down to about 80-100 ft.Hook and land a nice 10-15 lber by hand.Get your hut off before the ice goes.Get ready for muskie.
