| I'd like to get some info / opinions on these rods. Where I live there aren't any Musky shops close by, so I have to order all of my gear. I'm not in a position to look these over in person.
When I compare the specs on these rods to the Tournament Series, they seem to weigh almost exactly the same when comparing the same size rods. Since they cost half of what the Tournament Series costs I am considering giving one a try, specifically the 8'-6" HF model for larger bucktails. |

| bought an 8' mh for our oldest son last year. They are decent rods but you will deffinetly notice a difference between them and the tournament series. My favorite is the ltm top n tail wich is 8'mh and thats why i got him a comparable mojo. The mojos a nice rod for the money but its not a ltm. If cost doesnt matter Id recomend the big nasty for blades over #8s or the sling blade wich I havent used. I throw my larger bucktails on the nasty. But if moneys tight wich it seems to be everywhere the mojo is still a solid rod |

Location: Tennessee | I haven't tried the 8'6" but I had the 8ft H and I wasn't too thrilled with it. The handles where small and too short. It's good rod however, but for the money Tackle Industries can't be beaten. Look into a 9ft XH for a bucktail rod although it will throw almost anything you could want unless regularly throwing big rubber. |

Location: Northern Illinois | If you have a Dick's Sporting Goods close to you they might have the rods. They have them at the Dick's Sports I live by and I know you can get one shipped from 1 store to another. Worked at Dick's Sports for 6 years through high school and college. Even if you aren't buying it you can get the feel for what your looking for. If you don't like it you don't have to buy it. |

| Okay, we have a Dick's and a Gander Mountain where I live but there are no musky lakes close so they don't stock that type of tackle, only bass and crappie gear. The nearest musky lake to me is Kinkaid which is 120 miles away and yes this does make it a pain in the butt for me to go fishing. Everytime I go fishing it is a $100 in tow vehicle gas, so maybe I shouldn't complain about $360 for a new rod.
I guess my real question is what are the real differences between these Mojo rods and the Premier or the Tournament series? Are the blanks a little slower and heavier? Are the guides lower quality? I see they have split grips but is the cork and the reel seats somehow inferior? Any other issues?
I have 4 or 5 of the Premier rods but I don't own any of the Tournament series rods. The rods I use most often are actually Lamiglas rods but it appears they have discontinued their musky line.

Location: Oconomowoc, WI | The mojos are the same blanks as the premiers SCII. They are mad in Mexico and have split grips. The actions are all very similar to their counterparts in the legend line. Both have Fuji components but the legends have one piece line guides and new triggers. If I were you I'd just get a big nasty and have the piece of mind of the lifetime warranty. |

Location: Central Wisconsin | Yes, the mojo's are made in Mexico and the premier are made in the USA (thus the price difference). Both are the same blanks (scll). The legend tournament are also made in the USA and are a much better blank (sclV)? All are nice rods but personally I'd try to keep the manufacturing jobs in the US. |

| I have to agree with Steve. I have the 7'6" heavy and like it a lot. Paired with a toro or other low pro like a Lexa it makes a nice lightweight combo, very versatile in what it can throw also. |

| Did the handle length recently change? It used to be shorter and was a complaint among a number of people. the TI is listed at 16". |

| I honestly do not know. I know these handles line up with the counterparts in there other lines so it seems odd they would have been diferent to start but who knows... |

I have the 8'6"XH (4) and 8'6"H Premier rods and love them. They were far superior to many of the other rods I used to have. I sold my other muskie rods by all other manufacturers because they didn't compare quality wise. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | My Mojo split grip. The black thing is a balancer I make from strap lead, use it for throwing big baits and making the rod basically perfectly balanced with the weight/resistance of the lure running considered.
I really like this stick.

| so about 14".. so shorter than the TI rods or some of the others. I knew it was shorter at least at one time because i tried one during a tournment and immediately noticed it was shorter than my Musky Innov rod. |

| I don't think the handle is being made longer, the weight appears to be wrapped around the stock handle, not extending it. BR |
