| Which TI rod primarily for mag dawgs? Looking for the lightest most balanced with rod locker length not being a restricting factor.
I was thinking full cork 9' XH one piece.

| I have both the xh and xxh in 9' in split grip...Both will work fine. The xh is a great all around rod and can throw just about every bait in the tackle box. In your situation I'd go with the xxh. Plus, it launches pounders with ease. |

| I don't think so. It's a little stiffer, so it launches baits and rips them easier. Which, over a day period is prolly easier on the body. You won't be disappointed with either rod |

Location: Hayward, WI | Probably a toss up really. I have both the 9' XH and XXH. I use the XH for Mag Dawg size baits and the XXH for Pounders. With that said the XXH doesn't feel heavy. I also used the XXH for double 10's for a while and it surprised me how well it did. For the power the rod had, it threw them pretty well.
I just stick to the theory of using the lightest power you can for the most forgiveness while fighting fish. The XXH heavy isn't a pool cue though either. If you were going to use the rod for 8 oz baits and maybe less I'd get the XH. If using it for 8 oz and maybe more go for the XXH.
Great choice no matter what. I want to add a MH this year so I have all 3 powers in the 9' rods. Love 'em.

| what else are you going to throw? Curleytail nailed. I have 6 nine foot TI's, I would definitely get the XH if mags are what you intend to throw most...the XXH would work but better pounder rod, I'd actually throw mags on my 9' MH before throwing them on my XXH. |

??? 90% of hits are on slack line or in the 8....i want tip to keep fish pinned |

| reread tuckers post....the XXH has very little give in the tip and is overkill for mags. If you want to throw pounders as well then you want the XXH....but the XH is a perfect mags rod. |

I fish rubber baits pretty agressively at times - with long, fast rips. I don't notice the XH loading up enough to impede the forward movement of the lure or wear me out at the end of the day. The rod loading on the sweep was only an issue when I was using it to rip Pounders. You don't want the XH for that, but I love the XH for just about everything else in my box.
The XH has plenty (like plenty plenty) of strong backbone for setting hooks well and keeps a nice bend in the tip for fighting fish. No reeling like crazy to prevent slack line. Set the hook and the rod bends and stays bent with good cushion.
For as powerful as it is, the XXH has pretty good tip bend too, but if I can get away with the XH I will. Since I bought the XH I would say I use it 80% of the time.

| I love my 6oz 9'MH for magnum bulldawgs, it's absolutely brilliant! I thing the 12oz XH is too stiff for magdawgs. |

Location: Canada | I use the 9' telescopic XXH split grip to throw mags but I also throw pounders. If I wasn't throwing pounders also pretty sure the XH would work. |

| No Brainer, If you want to throw weight from mag size to pounders you need a XXH! If your not going to throw pounders then you can use either one! Don't read in to it so much!  |

Location: Land of the Musky | I think you will be much happ9ier with the XXH for Mag/pounder swimbaits. If just Mag size and under the XH will work really well.
