| Maybe a stupid question but how do those of you that use a nail knot tie it to a swivel or snap for fluro leaders? I watched how to tie a nail knot but it only shows how to tie it for fly fishing (line to line). |

| Just tie a clinch knot (2,5 turns is perfect) to the swivel and a perfection loop to the snap.
Make sure to realy get alot of saliva and pull very quick and fast on the clinch knot to make it snug. |

Location: Detroit River | This is how Lee Tauchen does it: http://leetauchen.com/lees_leader_knot.pdf Or you can buy the TraceMate Tool or the DuBro Nail Knot Tool to make it easier. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpeqsRsfQm4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1LuIPhmLqc |

Location: Hayward, WI | I use the Lee Tauchen knot that Zip posted. I tie 150# Seaguar and have no issues with it. I leave a loop rather than snugging it down tight (makes it easier to change snaps out) and finish the tag end with a crimp. Works very well for me. If you have problems making all the wraps and finishing the knot give yourself a longer tag end to work with.
