Posts: 202 Location: Angola, IN | So, I was cleaning up my Knipex last night and some other tools in my garage. I recently obtained a can of Moly Film by Kano Labs. Kano makes incredible products. I use their Kroil and Kreen quite a bit. Amazing stuff. Back on topic....so I removed the surface rust with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda (Acetic Acid and Sodium Bicarbonate for you fellow chemists out there) and sprayed several light coats of Moly Film on the Knipex. Let dry for a few minutes and repeat several times. The moly actually bonds to the metal and creates a "plated" layer. It will not rub off or come off with water or organic solvents (like alcohols, xylene, acetone, etc.) I think it's gonna be a great fix for all my release tools and other tools in my garage. I'll be posting pics soon.

You can only buy the stuff from them directly. I would call them and see what kind of deals they have going on. Personally, if you have a dirty engine (truck, car, boat, etc), their Kreen is the best stuff you can ever use. Just add it to the oil and it does amazing stuff. I used in it in my old truck and car with super good results. This Moly Film came as a freebie from ordering the Kreen.

The Kroil is the most amazing rust remover and rusted part restorer I've ever used. It's incredible. The Moly Film was responsible for my son kicking butt in his Pinewood Derby race for Boy Scouts. LOL!! I need to see where the closest Farm and Fleet is near me now....
