| I am looking to purchase a fishing boat, but I have just graduated from college recently and I am a teacher at an elementary school. I have also just purchased a home, so I do not have lots of money to spend. I am looking for a fiberglass boat like that of a Ranger, Skeeter, Javelin, etc.. something in that style, but I can only afford to pay around $5,000. Any suggestions. Thanks

| Not sure where you are from but pick up an rv/boat trader at your local gas station. For 5k you will be looking at a fiberglass bass style boat that is around 17 years old. I hope this helps. |

| Tony,
There is an incredible deal on a Tuffy Esox Custom Consol that used to belong to one of Steve Worrall's family friends who passed away earlier this year.
For the money you have to spend I don't think you will find a nicer rig. My understanding is that it saw very little use over the years.
Very stable fishing platform and will handle up to 3 foot waves without any problems.
It is on the "classifieds" board.

| Tony,
That Esox Custom is a great boat. You may also want to try the Muskies Inc. website. They have a members used boat section now, and there are several boats there in your price range.
Good luck in your search. |

I know of boat that would fit the bill...I have a 17 ft. Mirro-Craft 90 h.p. with on board battery charger, locator and trolling motor. It would go for around $5500 everything is 1992 and I bought it new in 94
