| should you water seal or anything like that. if so how, i have some thompson water seal. should i just put it on the baits then paint over it or just paint and no water seal? i woncer if you could put a deep frtont hook and shallow one on it like a swimwizzz? thanks guys!!!! |

| Just hang them up and spray them, then clear coat. You can either use some type of clear lacquer or envirotex spray.
No need to seal them first.

| I use Kilz on all the baits that I make. It seals the wood and is a good primer for the top coat. |

| If you coat them in superglue before painting it helps give the wood a tough skin, especially in soft woods like pine. |
