| im going pike fishing in a couple months and i plan on picking this reel up. we will mainly be casting 3/4oz - 1 1/2oz spinnerbaits, small 6" bucktails, small musky lures, husky jerks, and lures between an oz and 2 1/2oz. which one would handle those lures better the 5500 or the 6600? |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Buy a C3. The bcx reel will not last you more than a day musky fishing. For muskies get a 6500 for sure. |

Location: Dixon, IL | I like both and use both! 5600c3 for bass fishing and 6500c3 is great for pike and musky fishing. Years ago I was in college and use 5600 a lot for pike and bass. Great reel for spoon up to 3/4 oz. |

| Strong support for what Ryan had to say. The BCX is NOT what you want. |

| I have used both the BCX and C3 and I will echo what most everyone else has said. Spend the extra money and get a much better reel (c3). My brother only gets out musky fishing with me about twice a year so when he asked me what reel he should buy I told him the C3. He loves it and it works out great for what he needs it for. He uses it for everything from muskies/pike to running plugs for Chinooks in the rivers. |

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | For a little more $$$ look at the Bass low profile ABU Revo Winch, has 5.4 gears will hold about 130yds of 65lb braid. The C3 reels over the last couple years are OK, but the Bass size Revo Winch is alot better reel. |
