| I normally fish by myself. I would like to make a trolling pass driving the first time and record it to the ipilot. I then want to use the kicker still as the propulsion and use the ipilot to steer so I can check lines etc. Say I am trolling3.5 mph do I just set the ipilot to 3.5mph or what do I do? Thanks |

| It mostly depends on the wind. We troll like this all the time. You set your speed with your kicker, and set the speed on the bow bount somewere between 2 & 5. Just lock the kicker motor and steer with the bow. |

Location: Pewaukee Lake | Used my main motor this past summer and used I-Pilot for steering. I frequently recorded trolling passes. I found steering to be most effective when I-Pilot was set at 4 or 5. I would set main motor just under target trolling speed and then use the I-Pilot to fine tune my speed. |

| I do this as well, I like to set my main motor at the desired trolling speed and then set my Terrova at whatever it will take to steer depending on the wind.
