| Hey Muskie_Man
No suckers around her that I know of..I have clients bring mine or bum em from Greg.
However, Winchester bait and tackle ussualy has some smallier, but they sometimes work. Couple places up in CINCY carry ones big enough but keeping them alive is another question. WE sometimes go as far as Indaina to get them but I dont go out of my way that much because I don't think they work any better than casting... And oh boy what a feel when one hits your lure, it's that way with suckers. It's kind of like pulling your shoe away from your puppy, sometimes he gets the shoe and sometimes you do. I use them 10 or 12 days per year and get a few fish no big deal..I try to do whatever it takes when guiding.. OH yea forgot the Price!!!!!$5 to $7 each OUCH, and when a few die on you that really hurts. Gregg and I had $135 worth each die on us a few years back. Those dollars would buy a lot of muskie lures...And they are still in your boat the next week. As far as rigging I use a Wisher Lures Quick Strike Sucker Rig. One or two trebles depending on the sucker size with a single hook thru the snoot. Sometimes I will have a blade in front of the sucker and of course a big orange bobber. Since being up north (Herbies)I have experimented with the "Herbie Rig", that works well too.
E-mail me at [email protected] and I will get the name of the shop in Cincy for you.
Hope this helps.

| What an amazing year. First, the Cave Run spring outing, then Cass Lake, and now, to end the year, I get to fish on Friday the 13th with Tony and get my first muskie. With any luck I'll have the new bait that Treats made for me, too. Such wonderous events spawned this muskie carol. Please accept my apologies if it sticks in your head!
Reel drag sings, are you listening?
Fish on the bait, water is glistening
A beautiful sight, trolling Cave Run at night
Fishing in a muskie wonderland
Over the weedbed we can cast a Treats-bait
And start jerking our rod tip up and down
We will see a big girl break the water
And know they won’t believe us back in town
Later on, we’ll aspire
To catch a 50 inch, maybe higher
To cast unafraid with the bait that Treats made
Fishing in a muskie wonderland
